Are children invited?

As much as we adore your kids, we’ve decided to make our wedding an adults-only event. We hope you can still join us for a fun evening!

Can I bring a plus one?

Our goal is to keep the wedding as intimate as possible. We also have a strict venue cap. Unless you were extended a plus one via your invitation, we kindly ask that you attend alone.

Is the wedding ceremony unplugged?

We want you to relax and be fully present for our ceremony. We have a wonderful photographer who will capture every moment, so we kindly ask that phones and cameras remain out of sight until the ceremony's conclusion.

What's the weather like in Tahoe in August?

This is the peak Tahoe summer! The days should be 65-80 and the nights will get a little chilly. Always check the weather apps though because it loves to change.

Travel from Sacramento

Take I-80 East to Sacramento. Get on US 50 East to Placerville and South Lake Tahoe. Do not follow signs to Reno. Follow US 50 into South Lake Tahoe. At the “Y” intersection of Highways 50 and 89, go straight on Hwy 89 and continue approximately 2 miles to the Valhalla Road. There is a large wood sign on the corner that says Valhalla. Pull up to the green gate and wait for the gate attendant to let you in. Click to see Site Parking Map.

Travel from Reno

Take 395 South out of Reno and through Carson City, approximately 40 minutes. Just past Carson City, take U.S. Highway 50 West (on the right-hand side of the road) over Spooner Summit to South Lake Tahoe. Cross over the Nevada / California border at the Stateline Casino area and continue West on Hwy 50 through South Lake Tahoe. Turn right (North) at the “Y” on Hwy 89 and continue approximately 2 miles to the Tallac Historic site
